About me:
I have always been loved sports - especially trying out lots of different kinds of sports. I wanted to go to the Olympics ever since I was about nine years old. When I was a child I tried out riding, aikido, karate, gymnastics, ballet, volleyball, basketball, x-country skiing, kayak. Eventually I stuck with athletics and swimming which made life a lot easier for me when I decided to take up triathlon in 2000.
I quickly improved to achieve silver medals in the Junior and U23 Duathlon Championships, a bronze at the Junior Triathlon Worlds and a World Junior titel in Aquathlon in 2002.
In the following years I have climbed steadily up the world rankings and made it to the Athens Olympics in 2004 and the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
Since Athens I have been studying law at the University of Copenhagen. I think studying along with doing high level sport is a challenge but also helps to keep everything in perspective and to stay relaxed.
I am currently coached by Kiwi coach, Jack Ralston, and going for another 4 years in this great sport - maybe even 8:-)
I hope you will like my homepage.
Regards,
Elizabeth May
